Barbara HAUSER

Dr Barbara HAUSER is a recognized global expert in Family Offices. She has written on the subject for more than twenty years, most recently with Prof. Winnie Peng - they wrote the paper “Family Offices: a Proposed Eastern Model” published in The International Family Offices Journal. She has advised families on creating and expanding family offices, from the United States to Saudi Arabia including ethnic Chinese families. Hauser has written several books, including Advising the Wealthy Client (editor), Setting up a Family Office and “Mommy, Are We Rich?” She has family connections in Hong Kong, leading her to be in Hong Kong several times a year. She is a graduate of Wellesley College, Penn Law School, and clerked at the U.S. Supreme Court. She is a member of STEP (The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law, the Union International des Avocats, and the Collaboration for Family Flourishing. She is an editor of all three editions of The Family Office, a STEP Handbook for Families and their Advisors published in London.
